Devereux continues to reach out to local communities to provide therapeutic interventions. Community Behavioral Health offers supportive services to individuals and family members in their home, schools or other settings in the community. Providing community-based services for individuals serves as a first step approach to maintaining intact families or enabling people to remain active participants in the community. Services available include: psychological assessments, behavioral assessments and consultations, therapeutic staff support, behavioral support services, individual therapy and counseling, group therapy, parent training, vocational assessment, sexual disorders assessment, in-home respite services, and case management services. |
| Wrap Around Services |
Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services (BHRS) or "Wrap Around Services" are designed for children in the state of Pennsylvania who are between the ages of 2 and 21 and meet the criteria for Medical Assistance. The child must also have a primary psychiatric diagnosis, and be at risk for a more restrictive placement.
The goal of The Devereux Whitlock Center's Wrap Around Services is to support the child in his or her natural environment (home, school, community) with behavioral interventions overseen by a Master's Level Clinician. The intensive short-term services will work to transfer the necessary skills to the primary care-giver, and allow for the child to function with his or her natural supports.
We have been providing wrap around services since 1998, and serve children with developmental delays such as autism and mental retardation as well as children with behavioral issues like ADHD and OCD. To learn more about the program and how we can help your family, please contact Alicia Kolber, Program Director, at (610) 688-1045. |
