The School District of Philadelphia’s Road to Successful School-Wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Support ImplementationDevereux’s work advancing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) through the Devereux Center for Effective Schools (CES) is lauded in the latest newsletter of the Pennsylvania Positive Behavior Support Network for our partnership with the School District of Philadelphia (SDP). CES is the leading partner in four grant-funded projects designed to implement PBIS in Philadelphia public schools. PBIS has been implemented in 20 schools already. While still in the early stages, evidence of effectiveness is already being recognized, with SDP being awarded the School Climate Transformation Grant award from the U.S. Department of Education. We are confident this implementation will lead to materially positive and sustainable outcomes for the children in Philadelphia’s schools.
