Melanie Beidler

Executive Director, Children's Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Services

Melanie Beidler is the Executive Director of Devereux Pennsylvania — Children’s Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Services (CIDDS).  Mel has nearly 30 years of experience working within residential treatment, where she began her career working as a group counselor with a population of children with autism and I/DD.  Over the years, she has expanded her experience base by working in many direct care and supervisory roles in three different centers within the Devereux organization, serving children and adolescent populations with a range of mental health needs and developmental disabilities.  Mel is most proud of her ability to see and understand residential treatment from “the ground up.”  Her emphasis on systems and accountability has resulted in an increase in the center’s performance, productivity and delivery of treatment services to Devereux’s children. Mel earned her undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University, where she also earned her Masters of Management Degree.  In 2010, Ms. Beidler graduated from Leadership Main Line Program, an intensive leadership program.  Mel is a strong advocate for maintaining ties within the local community where she serves on the board of Safe Harbor, a Chester County shelter that provides housing and services for the homeless of Chester County.
