Devereux Children’s Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC)

DCBHC employs a team of acute care professionals including psychiatrists, clinical case managers, nurses, teachers, allied therapists, mental health technicians, psychologists, personnel from referring agencies, school districts and, most essentially, the family and child to work together to create a treatment plan that focuses on a successful discharge back to the community or lesser level of care.  The average length of stay is between 3 days and several weeks.

  • Depression
  • Aggression
  • Self-esteem issues
  • Psychosis
  • Drug and alcohol issues
  • Cutting, self-injurious behaviors
  • Suicidal
  • PDD/Autism Spectrum

Therapeutic Modalities:

  • Individual, group and milieu therapies
  • Behavioral management
  • Family therapy/counseling and support
  • Psychiatric, psychological and educational interventions
  • Problem-solving groups and community interventions
