Devereux employee wins prestigious NJACP Leadership Award

We are proud to announce that Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New Jersey Director of Statewide Operations Nicole “Nici” O’Neal was honored recently with the 2017 New Jersey Association of Community Providers (NJACP) Leadership Award.  

The award recognizes O’Neal’s outstanding contributions in support of individuals with intellectual, developmental and other disabilities across the state. She received the award in November during the 2017 NJACP Annual Conference in Atlantic City. 

“For Nici, the individuals she serves have always been her top priority,” said Devereux New Jersey Executive Director Brian Hancock. “Nici has exhibited strong leadership skills throughout her career. She always demonstrates a commitment to high standards of quality and an integrated team approach, and is dedicated to helping our individuals unlock their full potential. Her steadfast dedication makes her the perfect recipient of the 2017 NJACP Leadership Award.” 

Striving to lead by example

O’Neal said she was incredibly honored to receive the leadership award: “For the past nine years, I have been attending the NJACP Conference and have been touched by the stories of those who have received the leadership award in prior years. To be put in the same category as these dedicated leaders is a true honor. I have strived to lead by example in creating high-quality and family-oriented individualized treatment for the people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. It is such a gift to be blessed each and every day knowing I’ve made a difference in someone’s life.”
