Community-based living |
In community-based homes and apartments throughout the state, individuals learn life skills designed to increase their ability to live as independently as possible in the community. Each home/apartment is shared by two to six individuals of similar age and interests, ranging in age from six years old to adulthood. |

| MR/DD Teaching Family Programs |
| Individuals with developmental disabilities and autism live in homes throughout the state with professional practitioners who teach skills directly and serve as models for appropriate alternative behaviors. All teaching Family homes are designed to provide a family-like setting with the practitioners providing consistency, teaching and stability for the individuals. One to four individuals of similar age ranges reside in the homes. Ages range from three to adulthood. |

| Devereux New Jersey Center for Autism |
| Addressing the particular needs of children, adolescents and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), the Center located in Bridgeton (in the southern region of the state), offers residential, educational and vocational programs. All the programs are geared to reaching these individuals, helping them overcome challenging behaviors, and teaching them crucial life skills. The Center promotes individual strengths and supports areas that need development through an individualized, behavior approach. |

| Educational Programs |
| The Devereux New Jersey Treatment Network has an approved private school at the Devereux New Jersey Center for Autism in Bridgeton for both day and residential students aged 5 to 22. This school uses current "Best Practices" best on Applied Behavior Analysis, community-based instruction, and an emphasis on developing individual strengths and increased communication skills. |

| Adult Training/Vocational Programs |
| Many adults referred to the Devereux New Jersey Treatment Network access hands-on job training, work adjustment training, and job coaching. We arrange for mobile work crews, enclaves, competitive employment and volunteer opportunities in the community as well. |

| Therapeutic Services |
Depending on the program within the network, a variety of services may be provided, which could include the provision of psychological services, behavior support, speech and language therapy, medical care, psychiatric services, as well as occupational and physical therapy. |
