The Kanner Treatment Family Program (TFP) is similar to Therapeutic or Treatment foster care. What makes this program unique is that it provides services to children and young adults (21 years or younger) with the diagnosis of Mental Retardation. Children in this program may also have other psychological needs. Treatment Parents provide these services to 1 to 4 Devereux children in their approved and certified homes. Treatment Parents receive support from the program on a continual basis. Children receive services that are intensive within a supportive and nurturing environment.
