Suicide Prevention and Risk Assessment
QPR for Suicide Prevention is a training program designed to enhance suicide prevention by raising awareness of youth, adult and elderly suicide and by helping participants acquire the three basic QPR intervention skills: question, persuade, refer.
  • QUESTION a person about suicide
  • PERSUADE someone to get help
  • REFER an individual to the appropriate resource
These three simple steps can help save lives from suicide. QPR training teaches participants to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and to question, persuade and refer someone to help.

QPRT Suicide Risk Assessment training is for professionals who may evaluate, assist, counsel or treat individuals who are potentially at risk for suicide. It provides clinicians with additional training in risk factors for suicide, malpractice issues and how to avoid them, proactive strategies for assessing suicide risk and using the QPRT assessment tool (QUESTION/PERSUADE/REFER/TREAT).
