Devereux Georgia - Project PLUS
Project P.L.U.S. (Positive Living Using Supports) is a program that provides housing and support services for six young men, aged 17 to 22, with mental health disabilities who are transitioning from adolescence to adulthood. Typically, these young men have been discharged from a residential program (i.e. psychiatric treatment facility, group home, treatment foster home, etc), have no appropriate options for housing and will be at high risk for homelessness. Length of stay is expected to be one year in duration with specific program goals, measurements, and indicators, to show successful performance. Ultimately program participants, while living in the neighborhood residence, receive support services that will strengthen their skills to live independently, become a productive citizen, and improve their quality of life.
