Residential Group Care

The Devereux Residential Group Care serves adolescent boys ages 12-17 on a short-term basis who are in need of behavioral healthcare services in a residential setting. Devereux Florida operates under the belief that clients can make changes in their lives and levels of functioning through receiving high level, timely, consistent and stable treatment.  The Residential Group Care Program provides a safe environment as well as an opportunity to internalize change, develop self-discipline and self-esteem. The program encourages the practice of independence and social skills, as well as other behaviors needed to be successful in life.

The Residential Group Care Program offers the following services:

  • Behavioral Health Overlay Services (BHOS) provided by qualified clinicians
  • Individualized service planning that builds upon strengths and preferences
  • Accountable, effective and evidence based strategies used to design treatment programs
  • Positive, strength-based treatment approaches focusing on strengthening individualized skills
  • Psychiatric Services/Medication Management
  • 24-hour nursing services
  • Health and medical screenings
  • All staff trained in specialized crisis intervention
  • Co-located with Devereux’s Statewide Inpatient Psychiatric Program for additional support
  • Structured daily environment with recreational activities on campus and in the community
  • Support success in public school
  • Discharge and transition planning
