Good for You, Joyce! New supervisor tapped

Fort Pierce - Devereux Community Based Care congratulates Joyce Edwards for her recent promotion to dependency case management supervisor in St. Lucie County.

Edwards, a graduate from Florida Memorial College, served locally as a case manager for two years. She has more than 17 years' experience working in social services, including posts at the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, Eckerd Youth Alternatives and the Mentor Network.

"Joyce came to us with years of supervisory and management experience and we are excited to have her work with our team in this capacity," said Lorrene Egan, St. Lucie County Director for Devereux Community Based Care, the nonprofit organization that oversees the child-welfare system in Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie counties.

As supervisor, Edwards will lead a team of case managers to oversee the coordination of services to children and families with cases in the dependency - or child welfare - system.
