Three new members join Board of Directors

Port St. Lucie – New to the board are Michelle Llorens, campus administrator for Devereux Viera, and St. Lucie County School Board Members Donna Mills and Kathryn Hensley.

Llorens brings more than 20 years’ experience in clinical and behavioral services to the board, which is responsible for governing the child-welfare system in Indian River, Martin, Okeechobee and St. Lucie counties.

Mills, first elected to the St. Lucie County School Board in 2010, is a co-founder of the Fort Pierce-based Save Our Children initiative, which provides less fortunate children on the Treasure Coast with educational, social, recreational and nutritional support.

Mills, who enjoys traveling and horseback riding, describes herself as a caregiver, activist and advocate.

"I have been actively involved in issues relating to children, families, education and our economic future for years," Hensley said. "It is my life's work and passion."

"We are very fortunate to have the talent and dedication that these three women bring to our organization," Devereux Community Based Care Chief Executive Officer Carol Deloach said.
