What makes Devereux’s benefit program unique? We’re not a one-size-fits-all employer. We offer multiple plan choices, so each employee can customize the plan that best fits his/her needs. Full-time Employee Benefits
Time Off Benefits (TOB) – we offer generous time off based on accrual and years of service. To start off, employees with 90 days to 2 years of service are eligible to accrue up to 24 days per TOB year (days increase with years of service). In addition, we offer the option for our direct care employees to elect to ‘sell’ a portion of their TOB (not to exceed 40 hours).
Health Management Leave (HML) – our employees can accrue up to 64 HML hours per year, starting on the first day of employment. Plus, employees can carry over unused HML hours, and double their HML hours that are carried over (must meet specific criteria).
Medical Insurance – through Independence Blue Cross and MVP HMO (only available in NY), choose from 4 different plans, including a high deductible health plan (includes health savings account, prescription and mental health coverage).
Dental Insurance – through Delta Dental or Aetna DMO, choose from 2 different dental plans.
Prescription Drug Benefit Program - through CVS Caremark, we offer a comprehensive plan that provides benefits for covered services at your local pharmacy for initial prescriptions, and through a mail service system or local pharmacy (CVS Pharmacy only) for maintenance medication.

- Finding the right doctors, addressing eldercare issues, clarifying insurance
coverage, helping resolve claim issues, etc.
Aetna Voluntary Benefits - voluntary vision, accident, and life Insurance benefits.
Mental Health Coverage – through Magellan Behavioral Health, out-patient and in-patient care for mental and behavioral health issues. In-network benefits are provided at 100% with no limitation; out-of network benefits are provided at 50% with day and annual limits.
Tuition Assistance - Depending upon years of service, education level, and available budget.
Flexible Spending Accounts - through Employee Benefits Corporation. A Medical Spending Account and Dependent Spending Account allows you to contribute money to an account, through pre-tax salary reductions, to be used for medical expenses (Medical Spending Account) not covered under the insurance plans and/or dependent expenses (Dependent Spending Account), such as daycare.
Life Insurance – through Aetna US Healthcare, premiums are fully paid by Devereux.
Long Term Disability Coverage – through Aetna US Healthcare, premiums are fully paid by Devereux.
Accidental Death & Personal Loss Insurance - through Aetna US Healthcare. Employees can elect up to a specific amount of coverage for themselves or their families. Premiums are employee paid.
Business Travel Accident Insurance – through Federal Insurance Company. All full-time employees are covered on the first day of active employment. The plan covers losses sustained during any authorized Devereux related business trip. Premiums are fully paid by Devereux.
Full-time & Part-time Employee Benefits
Retirement - After 2 consecutive years of service (1,000 hours worked in each year), Devereux offers a generous basic and matching contribution. As of the first day of employment, employees may also contribute on a voluntary basis.
Employee Assistance Program – through Carebridge. For confidential, off-site counseling services covering a variety of issues. Effective the first day of employment.
Work/Life Programs – through Carebridge. Provides all employees and their families help in managing family and personal concerns including child care, elder care, financial planning, continuing education, time management, & relocation. Effective the first day of employment.
Service Awards - All employees celebrating a five year increment (5, 10, 15, etc.) anniversary receive taxable compensation in recognition of their long-term commitment to Devereux.

Our focus on performance and competency means that you will actively participate in professional growth and development opportunities based on prescribed learning paths for your position, as well as learning related to your individual needs and goals. Devereux provides a host of learning resources that present opportunities for you to acquire new knowledge, develop skills, and to assist you in enhancing your performance. These opportunities consist of traditional classroom instruction, coaching and supervision, eLearning (computer-based), structured on-the-job learning, small group meetings, self-study materials, workshops, and other external resources.
