The Devereux Beneto Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) serves children and adolescents ranging in age from 5 to 18. This inpatient psychiatric hospital program is located within the Mapleton Residential Program. The facility has a children's wing and an adolescent wing. It offers two large recreational/game rooms on each wing, large group areas for art, crafts, educational programs and therapy sessions. A multidisciplinary team develops a treatment plan to meet the individual's needs using a continuum of interventions and therapeutic approaches designed to prepare the client for return to the community or for referral to a less intensive level of care. Planning for discharge begins at admission and continues throughout treatment. Family involvement, along with active support of the referring agency, is encouraged to continue the process achieved in the program and provide for a successful transition post-discharge.
Clients at the Children's Behavioral Health Center have a diagnoses of psychiatric disorders including mood, adjustment, pervasive developmental, anxiety, atypical psychosis, personality, post-traumatic stress, eating, attention deficit and schizophrenia.
Services include: Psychological, psychiatric, psychopharmacology, group/family therapy, special education, substance abuse education and counseling, therapeutic recreation, and clinical case management. |
