 The Devereux Beneto Center, established in 1995, operates several locations throughout Chester and Delaware counties in Pennsylvania. Our innovative services utilize a contemporary continuum of mental health care including an Behavioral Health Center, Residential Treatment Facilities, Approved Private Schools, Pre-vocational and Vocational programs. These facilities continue to evolve to meet the needs of the surrounding communities and our broad referral base encompassing Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware and Virginia.
The Devereux Beneto Center specializes in the treatment of children, teenagers, and young adults with emotional and psychological challenges ages 4 to 21, depending upon the program. Devereux Beneto includes residential treatment programs at the Brandywine, Stone and Gables, and Mapleton campuses; an accredited day school; community-based services; treatment foster care and an inpatient psychiatric hospital. Diagnoses served include:
- Disruptive behavior disorders including, conduct, oppositional defiant, attention deficit hyperactivity, post-traumatic stress, intermittent explosive and affective disorders.
- History of sexual/physical abuse, school refusal, psychotic symptoms and fears/anxieties interfering with social functioning.
- Moderate to severe psychiatric disorders
- Neurological impairments
- Developmental disabilities, pervasive developmental disorders & Aspergers
- Dual diagnosis- behavioral or psychiatric diagnosis with mental retardation
- Mild to Moderate MR (Acute/hospital)
- Borderline MR to superior intellectual functioning (residential programs)
