Located on a beautiful 10 acre campus in the heart of Scottsdale, Devereux Arizona’s Level 1, Secure Residential Treatment Center (RTC) is an all encompassing 48-bed facility. The RTC is a 24-hour safe and supportive environment that provides youth, ages 5 -17, with emotional, behavioral or substance abuse challenges with consistency, stability and structure.

Services

• Therapy

  Masters-level clinicians use individualized and culturally competent individual, family and group therapies to address behavioral problems, mental health issues and family conflict/adjustment.

• Substance Abuse Program

  Our Intensive DBT Substance Abuse Program includes Group Therapy 4x weekly using the skills training component of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Relapse Prevention groups, pn-site AA/NA meetings and on-site drug testing.

• Anger Management

  Anger management groups focus on harm reduction, managing emotions, and developing effective coping skills.

• Skills Streaming

  Daily group helps clients use real-life situations to learn adaptation and coping skills which can be applied immediately.

• Recreational Therapy

  We believe that our residents have a right to receive a well-rounded educational experience and our extensive Recreational Therapy Program includes Art Therapy, Life Skills, Music, Dancing, Team building, Off-campus Activities, Swimming and Sports.

  Our on-site accredited school provides Intensive Behavioral & Emotional Support for Students in a Safe Environment while Focusing on Academics.

• Medical & Psychiatric Services

  Devereux Arizona ensures our residents’ physical and mental well-being by having 24-hour nursing staff and a Board Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist on-site.

• Native American Program

  By focusing on the Mind, Body and Spirit, Traditional Counselor teaches our students about history, self-management, leadership, working together and healing.

• Culinary Arts Program

  Devereux Arizona’s Culinary Arts Program offers children in residential treatment the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience for the future through an 8-week Culinary Course. Students learn about food preparation, safety and serving skills.
