Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health changes lives – by unlocking and nurturing human potential for people living with emotional, behavioral or cognitive differences.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month

Through your gift, you contribute to our mission to unlock and nurture human potential in people living with emotional, behavioral or cognitive differences.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health joins provider organizations, community members, employers, and individuals with disabilities and their families to celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities. Held annually, National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) is led by the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment, and this year marks its 70th anniversary. The theme of this year’s NDEAM is “#InclusionWorks.”

As one of the largest and most advanced behavioral healthcare organizations in the country, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health understands that the Disability Community is significantly affected by unemployment in the United States.

According to Best Buddies, about 84 percent of adults with developmental disabilities do not have a paid job in the community.

"Devereux has positively changed my life."

With the collaboration of more than 20 corporate sponsors, Gala Committee, Devereux Pennsylvania Advisory Board, and the Young Friends of Devereux, each year the Gala provides a special opportunity to recognize and thank our incredible donors and community partners, whose support helps us to continue delivering outstanding programs and services.
