October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health joins provider organizations, community members, employers, and individuals with disabilities and their families to celebrate the many and varied contributions of America’s workers with disabilities. Held annually, National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) is led by the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment, and this year marks its 70th anniversary. The theme of this year’s NDEAM is “#InclusionWorks.”
As one of the largest and most advanced behavioral healthcare organizations in the country, Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health understands that the Disability Community is significantly affected by unemployment in the United States.
The annual Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Hope Gala is one of Philadelphia’s most premiere black-tie events, raising hundreds of thousands annually to benefit more than 3,500 children and adults with emotional, behavioral, and cognitive differences served by Devereux in Southeastern Pennsylvania. With the collaboration of more than 20 corporate sponsors, Gala Committee, Devereux Pennsylvania Advisory Board, and the Young Friends of Devereux, each year the Gala provides a special opportunity to recognize and thank our incredible donors and community partners, whose support helps us to continue delivering outstanding programs and services.
Our ultimate goal is to help all of the individuals and families we serve achieve more fulfilling and rewarding lives, and the support provided by private philanthropy is critical to making that goal a reality every year.
