Devereux New York awards inaugural scholarship to Red Hook High School senior

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York recently awarded its first-ever high school scholarship.

The $500 “Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health High School Scholarship Award” is presented to a graduating Red Hook High School senior who is pursuing an undergraduate degree in psychology, social work or special education. The scholarship was presented this summer to a student who plans to major in psychology.

“As a Red Hook graduate and life-long member of this community, I was thrilled and honored to present this award to a well-deserving and hard-working student,” said Devereux New York Director of People Operations Arthur Roberts. “Since our main campus is located in Red Hook, and we employ many local residents, we saw this not only as a potential recruitment opportunity, but as a way for Devereux to give back to the community.”

Devereux New York is hiring!

Building on the success of the inaugural scholarship, Devereux New York plans to award additional scholarships to local high school seniors next spring.

“We believe this approach will positively impact our recruitment efforts, which also include participating in high school job fairs,” Roberts explained. “Devereux is always looking for talented behavioral health professionals who have a passion for helping individuals in need. These scholarships are the perfect way for us to effectively promote the Devereux brand, and the meaningful and rewarding work we do, on a daily basis.”
