She plans to use the award in pursuit of a doctorate from Arizona State University in Behavioral Health Management.  Specifically, she plans to study healthcare integration, a subject that will be a transformational factor for the healthcare industry.

“The entire Devereux community joins me in congratulating Yvette on this prestigious honor,” said Bob Kreider.  Jackson is a champion of LGBTQ cultural competency, and has led trainings throughout the country for behavioral healthcare and child welfare professionals.

She received the award at an event Friday evening with members of the Devereux Board of Trustees, members of the Devereux Pennsylvania Advisory Board, former Falberg recipients, local executive directors, and corporate staff.  This year marks the 25th Anniversary of the award, named in honor of former Devereux Chairman Weaver Falberg. The award specifically supports the professional development of Devereux staff from across the organization.

The funds for the Falberg Fellowship are made possible through the Thomas C. and Maryann Hays Employee Education & Recognition Fund, which also supports Devereux’s Staff Tuition Assistant Program and the annual Thomas F. Donovan Culture of Caring Award in recognition of outstanding direct care professionals.

“I am honored and thrilled to be chosen for this award,” said Jackson.  “I look forward to working with our executive leadership, contributing to Devereux’s future as it relates to integrated healthcare,” she said.
