Washington, CT - The Glenholme School varsity basketball team was all smiles as they celebrated a decisive victory over Maplebrook School on February 16 in the Glenholme gymnasium. Although Maplebrook had raced out to a 13-2 lead, the Grizzlies clawed their way back with a strong defense, solid rebounding, and some great baskets, resulting in a 53-42 victory.

As the match marked the final home game of the season, the team also celebrated the Glenholme seniors and their dedication to the basketball program. Recognizing Mark, Griffin, and Ben, Coach Kepics noted, “Our seniors play an important role in our program. I am very proud of these guys for what they have accomplished.” The Senior Night celebration was made complete by the Men’s Singing Group performing the National Anthem and the Spirit Squad providing an incredible half-time show and constant cheers from the sidelines.

The interscholastic sports program at Glenholme fosters health and wellness, while building school spirit, teamwork, and strong friendships. By actively participating in competitive sports, students learn the importance of hard work and become more confident in their own abilities.

The Grizzlies bounced back after a series of hard-fought losses to bring their record to 5-5-0 with one game left in the season. Congratulations to the senior players, and…
