Washington, CT - On October 10, The Glenholme School officially kicked off the new academic year with its annual Back to School Fall Festival. The beautiful golds and reds of New England's foliage are Mother Nature's signs that the school year is in full swing, and the afternoon's warm autumn weather was ideal for the carnival event. Excited students packed the activity booths to try their hand at jousting matches, obstacle courses, bungee run competitions, pitching cages, and balloon pops, while enjoying snow cones, popcorn, cotton candy, and funnel cake. Face painting, jewelry making, guessing games, an oatmeal dig, and a wide assortment of prizes rounded out the afternoon fun.

At schools throughout the world, the annual carnival is one of the most beloved traditions. Similarly, at Glenholme, the fall canival is always a student and staff favorite. This much anticipated event encompasses the feelings of excitement and the countless possibilities that accompany a new school year. The Festival provides students with an opportunity to socialize with their fellow peers, try new activities, and just have some good old fashion fun.
