Members of the student panel shared their interests and experiences at Glenholme with sixteen educational consultants who visited campus as part of a regional tour of schools for students.
Washington, CT - On Wednesday, September 28, The Glenholme School greeted sixteen educational consultants from across the country, as part of a regional tour of schools for special needs students.

The afternoon event began with a greeting by Executive Director Maryann Campbell, who discussed the history of the school and highlighted the vast opportunities available to Glenholme students. After a delightful luncheon prepared by the culinary students, the consultants took a tour of the campus, including the newly opened Center for the Arts, several student cottages, the equestrian center, and the schoolhouse.

The afternoon wrapped up with a panel discussion, during which the educational consultants had the opportunity to ask an eight-member student panel questions about their time at Glenholme. Representing a cross-section of the student body, the panel was comprised of male and female students in grades 6 through 12, each with different interests and experiences at the school.

When asked, “How has the program at Glenholme benefited you?,” one student replied, “Glenholme is like an investment only better than a 401K. What you put into it is what you get out and more. I've learned to make an investment in my relationships, my interests, and my education. ”

The Glenholme School is a therapeutic boarding school for young people diagnosed with Asperger, ADHD, PDD, depression, anxiety as well as learning difference.
