It’s all business with Chip T., an individual working in the Auto Shop at The Shops at Devereux
How long have you been working at the Auto Shop?
I’ve been with the shop for more than 25 years. I’ve had a few other jobs outside of here in between.
What are your favorite things to work on at the Auto Shop?
I like most jobs. I like to concentrate on auto repair. I do not like lawn mower repair only because I don’t know enough about it.
Are there any stories or funny things that have happened at The Auto Shop?
No, I try to keep things focused and business-like.
What is your favorite kind of car to work on and what would be your dream car?
I started on Chevys and GMs but have switched focus to Toyotas and Hondas. My dream car? It would be a few- a 1969 Camaro and a 1969 Mustang. My ultimate dream would be a 1962 Impala.
If you could have any job in the world, what would it be?
If I could do anything besides working on cars, I would want to be working on Wall Street.
What do you do in your spare time?
I like to read, hang out with friends, play video games and play sports. I participate in the Special Olympics in Track & Field, Cross Country and Basketball.
Why do you like to work at The Shops at Devereux?
I like the work, I get along with my boss and a few of the other people that work here. Bob is the longest boss I’ve ever worked with and he’s a good guy.
You’re a Mentor for some of the new individuals that come here, what do you do for them?
I teach them and help them learn the ropes. It makes me feel good to teach them.
