Brandon has been an active member of the Student Leadership (SL) over the past two years. Brandon, and other SL members Mercy, Amy and Robert, are joined by Torrington Mayor Ryan Bingham.

Washington, CT - Each year, the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) presents the Good Citizenship Award to youth who demonstrate exceptional character, dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism. On May 19, the Judea Chapter of DAR honored several students from area public, private, and parochial schools during a ceremony at the Gunn Library in Washington, Connecticut. One such honoree was Brandon, a graduating senior at The Glenholme School.

In his two years at The Glenholme School, Brandon has grown into a mature young man who displays strong character, takes great pride in his school, and is always willing to assist those around him. He is a caring and compassionate leader who consistently maintains a positive attitude and motivates others to do their best. This June, Brandon will graduate from Glenholme as a member of the Class of 2011.

Brandon’s involvement in Glenholme’s Community Service Program has been extensive. Through regular visits to the Candlewood Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center, he has become a surrogate grandson to many residents of the nursing home facility. In addition, Brandon has enthusiastically participated in numerous on campus efforts including a Cinco de Mayo fundraiser to support the New Milford Food Bank, campus clean ups, holiday food drives, and sending care packages to US troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Glenholme School proudly congratulates Brandon on his many achievements. His pleasant nature, strong work ethic, and respect for others will continue to serve him well as he enters adulthood.

The Glenholme School is a therapeutic boarding school for young people diagnosed with Asperger's, ADHD, PDD, OCD, Tourette's, depression, anxiety, and various learning differences.
