Washington, CT - This year’s Winter Sport Pep Rally is the first annual student-run rally at The Glenholme School. Taking place on February 4th, this year the event marked the mid-season for the Grizzly’s Basketball team. The festivities kicked off with the school’s own Men’s Singing Group performing the “Star Spangled Banner” and the presentation of the school colors by the Spirit Squad.

Also included were speeches by the Student Council Vice President and the Spirit Squad Captain, who summed up it well when she said, “The purpose of the pep rally is to get everyone involved in the school spirit here at Glenholme.”

As the rally continued, the schoolhouse was the place to be with the gym rocking from the excitement produced by the Spirit Squad’s performance, the chant “We Will Rock You” led by the school chorus, and a high-spirited athletic demonstration by the basketball team.

The pep rally is a new tradition designed by the student body to showcase the athletic talent of the school’s sporting teams and their supporters. We will enjoy watching the growth of this fantastic celebration of spirited sports efforts.
