Washington, CT - Even in the tough economic times of today, the students and staff of Glenholme stepped up their efforts to care for the community by delivering holiday cheer to a family of six through their annual Adopt-a-Family program. This season the school chose to sponsor a family from the Washington-New Preston area.

The holidays are a time for a little extra happiness and adorning the space beneath a tree with an abundance of gifts for a special family is evidence of the caring individuals of Glenholme. The students and faculty pulled together for a single gift-giving purpose. The students arranged a staff sponsored auction and coordinated the ticket sales to staff members across campus. The outcome of their efforts reflected in the substantial amount raised for the program and when combined with the many purchased gifts, there is no doubt this family would have a brighter holiday.

The school will continue their Adopt-a-Family tradition of warming the hearts of special families each holiday season. In serving our community, we believe the greatest gift is the ability to give.
