The Raise the Curtain Campaign is a celebrated success.
Washington, CT - The October Center for the Arts fundraiser, the Raise the Curtain Campaign, is a celebrated success. While construction on the building nears completion, fundraising efforts continue for Phase II with great fervor. Most importantly are the interior elements essential for the theater productions which remain to be funded and purchased for student performances.

The Raise the Curtain Campaign set a lofty goal of $25,000 in just one month’s time. The surge of support for this very special project not only helped us met this goal we exceeded it by $4000. The cast of supporters included 60 current families, 14 past families, 30 staff members and 45 extended family and friends of the school.

This is with out a doubted a sensational outpouring of generosity. As the promised pledges continue to roll in, we may now consider a higher quality curtain for the stage. With your support, we move closer to completing this project that has been dear to us for nearly a decade. Soon the students of Glenholme will have an authentic theater environment for continued exploration in the fine arts.

The Glenholme School, a Devereux Center, is an exceptional boarding school for students with special needs, which offers an individually prescribed learning environment with a steadfast academic curriculum. Using our effective individualized services, we apply a positive behavior support model focused on development of social skills and lifelong strategies for success.
