Washington, CT - Autumn has arrived. Despite the unusually pleasant weather as of late, the days are growing shorter and the leaves have begun to change. In fact, there is little time remaining until the foliage reaches its peak. This season, the peak is anticipated to be brief because of the dryness during the summer growing season. Hopefully our recent rains will perk up the leaves.

Glenholme, in the beautiful foothills of the Berkshire Mountains, experiences a splendor of color every year. This year is no exception. The vibrant colors are a signal that the new school year has begun.

Autumn is the most picturesque time of year for New England and Glenholme. While visiting the school, look around at the panorama of deep golds, oranges and rustic reds envelopes every corner of campus, from the frog pond and waterfalls to the equestrian paddocks. The color is all around us and you won’t want to miss it.

The Glenholme School, a Devereux Center, is an exceptional boarding school for students with special needs, which offers an individually prescribed learning environment with a steadfast academic curriculum. Using our effective individualized services, we apply a positive behavior support model focused on development of social skills and lifelong strategies for success. The school’s milieu therapy addresses varying levels of academic, social and special needs development in boys and girls ages 10-18 and postgraduates. We prepare graduates for continued education in traditional day schools, boarding schools, colleges and universities.
