Washington, CT - Grandparents from all parts of the globe enjoyed a glorious gathering at Glenholme for the late-September event honoring the National Grandparents Day, which occurred earlier in the month. In only its third year, the turnout for the school's Grandparents Day filled the campus' afternoon affairs as over 80 family members celebrated the amazing influence grandparents have in our lives every day.

The celebration included musical performances, an elegant luncheon, student-led tours of the campus to see classrooms, activity offerings such as the equestrian program, fitness, go-kart track, drama and music, the culinary program in The Commons, and the nearly constructed Center for the Arts; along with an administration-led presentation of the intricate program offerings of Glenholme and the impact they have on their grandchild.

These special individuals, grandparents and surrogate-grandparents alike, play an important role in the lives of these young students with their indisputable devotion and support. Grandparents set an important example for all to aspire to, as they teach, share, mentor and guide with graciousness. This generation of students will prosper from the wisdom and guidance of their grandparents into their later adult years.

The growth of this annual celebration demonstrates Grandparents Day at Glenholme is a highly anticipated tradition for our families. As we enjoy the success of this glorious gathering, we look forward to our next Grandparents Day with great anticipation.
