Washington, CT - Johnny O, the host of the Saturday morning radio show, Backstage on WZBG, experienced Glenholme and the excitement surrounding the construction of the Arts Center first hand. Backstage has the beat of the Litchfield County community theatre scene and Johnny O interviews many theatre professionals from the remarkable local talent to Broadway’s biggest stars, including Marissa Perry (Hairspray) and Ben Vereen (JCS, Pippin, Wicked).

In February, Johnny O interviewed Glenholme Arts Director Matt DeLong on Backstage and received only a glimpse of the arts program at the school. During his visit and tour of the beautiful grounds of Glenholme on July 21, it was evident the wonder of the new Center for the Arts was a key interest as the exterior of the building nears completion. In parting, Johnny O expressed great interest in future interviews, reporting on the happenings of Glenholme’s arts program, and connecting the school with the community.

For more information about Johnny O and Backstage, visit or tune into FM 97.3 on Saturdays from 9:00 -10:00 am.
