Washington, CT - The success of the Movie Club’s fourth feature film, Remote Thinking, captured the commitment and inspiration of this year’s cast and crew. The result was a fascinating feature of a young boy’s fantastic journey through a mysterious world which delighted the many Glenholme theatergoers. With a wonderfully successful film, the Movie Club wrapped up the season with their annual awards.

Six stand-out students received awards including best actor, rookie of the year, most dedicated, best screenplay, lifetime achievement and camera safety. The late June ceremony also included the customary promotion of a select handful of students who exhibited excellent dedication, creativity and maturity to fill leadership position left vacant by departing seniors as well as the acknowledging students who excelled in their particular roles. For the upcoming movie production, the roles of producer, lead cinematographer and production manager are in capable hands; leaving the director and music director positions in need of inventive individuals.

The Movie Club is project that engages students in the exciting movie-making process, from conception to conclusion. It offers an excellent opportunity to build cooperation and teambuilding skills while encouraging creativity and challenging students to take on new roles. With another successful year, a hearty congratulations goes to all those involved in the year-long production of Remote Thinking. It is by far the Movie Club’s best production to date and has set the stage for another exciting feature film endeavor.
