Washington, CT - Over the past several months the students partaking in the popular Iron Chef evening activity have been engaging their pursuit with exceptional enthusiasm. Participants receive a mystery bag containing random ingredients from all the food groups. Their objective is to create an inventive, tasty creation and the competition is hot as each team vies to create the tastiest treat of the week. Scores are tallied from a span of categories including teamwork, use of ingredients, creativity and presentation and the delightful creations are more interesting and inventive each week.

Iron Chef supplements the current culinary curriculum at Glenholme. The introduction to the intriguing and creative culinary careers is enhanced with exciting, inventive evening opportunities where students engage the finer fun side of the food service industry. Additionally, Iron Chef promotes healthy eating habits and it assists students in building a personal value system for a successful lifestyle.
