Washington, CT - The gym was the place to be on Wednesday, March 17 during the fourth round of the Devereux's Best Dance Crew competition. In honor of the Charlie Brown musical performances for March, the theme for this round of competition was Broadway.

Round four of competition was a true underdog story. After a string of unforeseen and unfortunate occurrences, Shorty Got Dev's Sarah P was the only member of her crew present and eligible to perform. Her solo performance to Dreamgirls' "Steppin' to the Bad Side" blew the crowd away and earned her an incredible 29 out of 30 possible points for her team and captured the title to round four.

Other song selections included "Hakuna Matata" from The Lion King, "Lay All Your Love On Me" from Mamma Mia!, "Cooties" from Hairspray, and "Puttin' on the Ritz" from Young Frankenstein. The crews all worked extremely hard to accommodate the competition amidst their grueling Charlie Brown rehearsal schedule and really put together some magnificent routines.

Senior member of the Glenholme Grizzlies Dance Team, Kolbe H, was a gracious hostess and worked diligently to create an original script for the event. Ms. Proulx and guest judges Ms. Black and Ms. Therault provided the crews with great feedback. The excitement of round four has everyone revved up for round five, set to the Oldies on Wednesday, April 28.
