Glenholme's Community Service crew coordinated and delivered another spectacular Easter Egg Hunt event.
Washington, CT - The early spring weather brought bright sunshine to the Glenholme School for their Sixteenth Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 27. A mass of happy hunters met Glenholme’s hare, who happily posed for some precious pictures while students provided face painting, bag decorating, and a Girl Scout sponsored beanbag toss. The pre-hunt holiday fun was all the rage.

The many happy hunters then took to Glenholme’s Garden Field to fetch Easter eggs that littered the lawns and tree limbs. Afterwards, they counted their treats, traded them for treasures, enjoyed snacks and refreshments, and awaited the winner of the jellybean guessing game. The Glenholme School’s Easter Egg Hunt is a time-honored campus tradition that brings in masses of happy hunters year after year.

The students of the Glenholme School have planned this event each year since 1995. There is an extensive list of work to be completed in preparation for this day, which is a tremendous opportunity for the students to get involved with the community and participate in Glenholme’s Community Service Program. The responsibilities include clearing the Garden Field, filling the thousands of plastic Easter eggs with candy, painting posters and making Easter bags for collecting eggs. This year the students were rewarded by the many smiling faces of the happy hunters and the satisfaction of a highly successful community event.
