Washington, CT - Cocoa Café continues to grow with great inspiration. On the evening of Wednesday, February 24, over 30 students filled the school’s theater with enthusiasm for the “Inspiration” themed evening. Performances included improv; readings of original writings including song lyrics, essays, and novel segments; skits, songs, and instrumental performances. Preceding each performance, the artist relayed to the audience how they found inspiration in their presentation.

Cocoa Café, the monthly arts offering provides students with a comfortable setting which inspires them to hone their talents in song, dance, speech and stand-up and the results are evident in their improved self-confidence as performers and artists. Only one year since its inception, the regular Cocoa Café performers demonstrate ease in front of their audience of peers, staff and onlookers; their transformation into experienced artist and actors is evident.

Watch for more excitement; the next Cocoa Café is scheduled for Tuesday, March 30.
