Washington, CT - Even in the tough economic times of today, the students and staff of Glenholme delivered holiday cheer to three local families through their annual Adopt-a-Family program. Glenholme sponsored families from The Women’s Center of Greater Danbury for the third consecutive year, adorning the space beneath their trees with an abundance of gifts.

The Adopt-a-Family success is a direct result of the caring Glenholme community; the school’s students, faculty and staff pulled together for this single gift-giving purpose. The students actively solicited contributions for a special, faculty-organized auction, as well as direct gift contributions from staff members.

The Glenholme School will continue the tradition of warming the hearts of special families each holiday season with their Adopt-a-Family program, which reaches out to those who are in need of extra holiday cheer; for the greatest gift is the ability to give.

The Glenholme School, a Devereux Center, is an exceptional boarding school for students with special needs, which offers an individually prescribed learning environment with a steadfast academic curriculum. Using our effective individualized services, we apply a positive behavior support model focused on development of social skills and lifelong strategies for success. The school’s milieu therapy addresses varying levels of academic, social and special needs development in boys and girls ages 10-18 and postgraduates. We prepare graduates for continued education in traditional day schools, boarding schools, colleges and universities.
