Washington, CT - Devereux Glenholme honored Amanda Patch with the 2009 Thomas F. Donovan Culture of Caring Award. Amanda has been an employee at Glenholme since April 2006 and her contributions and accomplishments through various committees, projects, and regular program efforts are abundant. Her positive “can do” attitude and willingness to go the extra mile have made her an exemplar for all, as well as a classic model of Glenholme’s traditions of excellence.

Amanda spends much of her time planning engaging, entertaining, and therapeutic outings each weekend for the entire campus. She participates in the Environment of Care Committee and actively educates her colleagues on how to provide and maintain excellent living quality and safety in the boarding environment. She consistently displays remarkable expertise of the treatment program while also paying attention to the details of each individual’s treatment goals and objectives.

Amanda’s dedication to the Glenholme program is evident by her attention and ability to adjust to the requirements of the program. Her enthusiasm toward new projects is contagious and she consistently treats everyone around her with dignity and respect. Amanda is a praiseworthy example for her colleagues by exhibiting patience and kindness at all times, even during stressful and challenging situations.

Amanda Patch embodies Glenholme’s core values and personifies the Thomas F. Donovan Culture of Caring Award. We are proud to have Amanda as a member of the Glenholme team.

Devereux Glenholme is an exceptional boarding school for students with special needs, which offers an individually prescribed learning environment with a steadfast academic curriculum.
