During the past two months, the talented Devereux Glenholme art students and their instructors have been hard at work on an amazing mural that spans the entire art room and a portion of the hallway outside. This was a wonderful experience for the students, whose efforts are now immortalized on the walls of our school.

After careful consideration, each student chose one famous piece of artwork to add to our mural. Then, armed with paintbrushes, a picture of their chosen work, and a spacious piece of wall, the real fun began. The wide variety of styles and artists represented is astounding. In fact, there are even a few paintings of the featured artists themselves. One of these is a beautiful rendition of Andy Warhol holding his famous Campbell’s Soup Can. Some other highlights include The Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci recreated by Diego M, The Peaceable Kingdom by Edward Hicks recreated by Hannah D, and wonderful Peter Max inspired lettering done by our art room assistant, Rebecca D.

As this project nears completion, we see in front of us an amazing view of the vast and awe-inspiring talents of the Glenholme students. Congratulations on all of your hard work and dedication. These pictures will serve as an inspiration not only to current students, but also to future students who have yet to walk through our doors.
