Washington, CT - In late October and early November, Devereux Glenholme held their annual Open House events for parents. The Open House for Education took place on October 23; while Residential was on November 6. These Open House events are important opportunities to establish communication between parents and faculty members.

The Education Open House, attended by dozens of parents, was an enormous success. Parents met their student’s teachers, including a handful of new educators; enjoyed informative presentations; enthusiastically enjoyed activities, and engaged in information exchanges about the academic objectives for students during the 2009-2010 school year.

The well attended Residential Open House at Glenholme was held on Friday, November 6. Residential is the universal term Glenholme employs to encapsulate the many wonderful aspects of the program. This Open House event provided parents with a variety opportunities to familiarize themselves with the school, including a meet-and-greet with residential faculty members; visits to their student’s cottage and the campus activity room, as well as presentations about the Community Service Program, Whipple Hill, and the Arts Program.

Glenholme enjoys an active exchange with parents and venues such as those provided by the Education and Residential Open House events are opportune times for constructive engagement between parents and faculty.
