Andrew Kepics' Crew of culinary students of Sections 2, 4 and 7 prepare delicious confections for the Caring with Cookies Fundraiser.

Washington, CT - During the week of September 28, the Devereux Glenholme Commons transformed their regular labors of café lunches to incorporate the Caring with Cookies fundraising efforts. Culinary Instructor, Andrew Kepics, and his crew of students from Sections 2, 4 and 7 prepared and sold scrumptious chocolate chip confections, delightful oatmeal cookies and a variety of other delicious creations as a fundraiser to help the Devereux Families that are struggling with the flooding in Georgia.

The efforts of Kepics’ Crew raised $298.50 for their fellow Devereux families. Quite an accomplishment, as the cookies were sold for only 50 cents a piece. The customary demonstration of caring from the Glenholme Community is evident in the final figure as the majority of the personnel supported the cause including maintenance, education, boarding, administration, kitchen and social services. Congratulations to Kepics’ Crew for the quick-thinking creation of an incredibly successful fundraiser to help the extended Devereux family during this difficult time.

Devereux Glenholme is an exceptional boarding school for students with special needs, which offers an individually prescribed learning environment with a steadfast academic curriculum.
