The Devereux Texas Treatment Network in Victoria celebrated its 50th anniversary on Thursday, October 1, 2009. Past and present staff members were invited to join the festivities of honoring the organization in its 50 years of service. The evening included refreshments, campus tours, a time capsule creation and a 50’s fashion show. A tree lighting ceremony concluded the night and entailed the illumination of 50 campus trees to represent Victoria’s 50 years of being in service.
Devereux Texas Treatment Network is part of the Devereux Foundation, a nonprofit, nationwide network of treatment facilities specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, developmental, psychiatric and/or chemical dependency disorders.
Since 1959, the Devereux-Victoria program has served children who suffer from abuse and serious emotional disturbances, as well as adults with severe mental health and developmental disabilities.
