Washington, CT - Devereux Glenholme students of the arts and drama department enthusiastically performed Disney’s “High School Musical Jr.” on August 20, 2009. An audience of over 150 family, friends, staff and students endured the warm, sunny August afternoon to watch from their hillside position as the cast and crew worked their theatrical magic.

Glenholme’s population is moderate compared to the scope of the performance. Of the 87 summer students, nearly 60 performed and participated in the production.

It was another sensational performance by cast and crew alike. The result of months of practice and preparation was smiles, laughs, applause and pride. Each year, Glenholme students and staff create an amazing experience and we look forward to the excitement of next year’s production in the school’s new theater, The Center for the Arts.

Devereux Glenholme is an exceptional boarding school for students with special needs, which offers an individually prescribed learning environment with a steadfast academic curriculum. Using our effective individualized services, we apply a positive behavior support model focused on development of social skills and lifelong strategies for success. The school’s milieu therapy addresses varying levels of academic, social and special needs development in boys and girls ages 10-18 and postgraduates. We prepare graduates for continued education in traditional day schools, boarding schools, colleges and universities.
