Glenholme celebrates the importance of grandparents with their Second Annual Grandparents Day in September.
Washington, CT - Glenholme is preparing to celebrate grandparents and the significant role they play in our lives with their Second Annual Grandparent’s Day on Friday, September 25. The First Annual Grandparent’s Day is a special memory for all involved last year. Thirty family members journeyed to Glenholme from all over the country to enjoy the events of the day including student-led tours of the campus, classrooms, activity offerings such as the equestrian program, fitness center, go-kart track, movie theatre, drama and music, and faculty presentations of several successful programs instituted, including Health Living and Community Service, along with a delightful lunch buffet.

The Development Office is anticipating an even greater turnout this year and is already arranging formal invitations to our student’s grandparents. Contact the Glenholme Development Office via phone at 860.868.7377 or via email to Anthony Mercogliano (amercogl@devereux.org) or Kirsten Pratt (kpratt@devereux.org) with mailing details for the invitation to your student’s grandparents.

Devereux Glenholme is an exceptional boarding school for students with special needs, which offers an individually prescribed learning environment with a steadfast academic curriculum. Using our effective individualized services, we apply a positive behavior support model focused on development of social skills and lifelong strategies for success. The school’s milieu therapy addresses varying levels of academic, social and special needs development in boys and girls ages 10-18 and postgraduates. We prepare graduates for continued education in traditional day schools, boarding schools, colleges and universities.
