Westminster, CO - Former Denver Broncos head coach Red Miller has teamed up with Devereux Cleo Wallace (DCW) to help increase public awareness of the center’s 65-year history of contributions to the community. Devereux Cleo Wallace is Colorado’s premier facility for the treatment of psychiatric illness and behavioral problems in children ages eight to 21.

In more than 30 years of coaching, Miller received the greatest personal satisfaction in helping people reach their highest potential, and that attitude carries over to his off-the-field life as well.

“As a father and grandfather, I applaud the work Devereux Cleo Wallace does to support families, providing them with solutions for social and emotional well-being, and I am excited about the chance to contribute to the center’s efforts,” said Miller.

Miller was the offensive-line coach of the Denver Broncos from 1963-1965, and returned as head coach in 1977-80, including the franchise's first Super Bowl season (1977). His career also included coaching positions with the Buffalo Bills, St. Louis Cardinals and Baltimore Colts; and he was offensive coordinator of the New England Patriots prior to returning to Denver as head coach.

He enjoys gardening, music, traveling and sports.

“Red Miller is a professional on and off the football field, and we are thrilled he has agreed to support Devereux’s initiatives,” said Bentley Smith, executive director of Devereux Cleo Wallace. “His coaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of providing people with the right tools and the right guidance, and we like to think we mirror that approach at Devereux.”

In one of Miller’s first acts on behalf of Devereux Cleo Wallace, he will attend the center’s fundraiser April 18, “Le Fête: An Evening of Expression.” The event program invites guests to stroll through the Solterra Retreat at the 2008 Parade of Homes and enjoy the feel of a quaint European village while viewing exhibits of five local artists. Guests will be treated to a cooking demonstration, dance presentation, music and an encore by renowned jazz band DOTSERO. News anchor Gary Shapiro of KUSA-TV (Channel 9) will serve as master of ceremonies. For more information about Le Fête, visit
