Center for the Arts
Washington, CT - The Devereux Glenholme School continues to make sensational progress in the Center for the Arts campaign. Currently at the half-way point of their objective for the building construction, the project’s plans are nearing completion and the goal for ground-breaking rapidly approaches.

The Center for the Arts is an essential element in reaching the Glenholme Arts Program mission, which is to make the arts a vital, effective and ongoing part of every student’s life. Directly linked to the Motivational Management System, the Arts Program is designed to positively impact each student in their artistic skills and social competencies, which will assist them in mastering their treatment plan goals.

The Center for the Arts will enrich the existing music, dance and visual arts programs. Once completed, it will be the largest venue on campus, as building plans consist of a full theater including backstage and seating for 300; providing adequate space for students, families, faculty and staff to convene for performances and assemblies. In addition to the theater, classrooms, music practice rooms, and costume workshops are also planned. A participation of 100% of the Glenholme community will ultimately accelerate this project to its completion.
