Washington, CT - The Glenholme School celebrated the value of grandparents and the amazing affect they have in the lives of their grandchildren with their First Grandparent’s Day on September 19, 2008. Thirty family members journeyed to Glenholme from all over the country to enjoy the campus and the events of the day including student-led tours of the campus, to see classrooms, activity offerings such as the equestrian program, fitness room, go-kart track, movie theatre, drama and music, faculty presented several specifically successful programs they have instituted, health living and community service, along with a delightful buffet catered by the Pantry here in Washington.

These special individuals, grandparents and surrogate-grandparents alike, play a significant part in their devotion and support to the lives of these young students. They set an example for all to aspire to, as they teach, share, mentor and guide. We look forward to our Annual Grandparent’s Day at Glenholme becoming a new school tradition for our families.

The Glenholme School is an exceptional learning environment for young people with special needs.
