Washington, CT - This Devereux Glenholme campus celebrates three significant staff member milestones this month. Jane Athas, Kathi Fitzherbert, and Leslie Haller have contributed considerably to the growth and development of Glenholme through the years. Their loyalty and dedication are worthy of recognition.

Jane Athas has made a consistent commitment to the students that have passed through the doors of Glenholme over the past four decades. She has experienced Glenholme’s entire life journey including thousands of students, hundreds of staff, four executive directors, campus changes, curriculum advances, technology developments, and much more. Through it all, Jane brought humor, laughter and terrific insight to young people.

Kathi Fitzherbert’s persistence, dedication and energy have been a major contributor to moving the Glenholme program into the 21st century. Over the last 35 years, Kathi had direct involvement in many student programs including education and development. For more than two decades, she has worked tirelessly in admissions where her knowledge of the Glenholme program provides a wealth of insight to the many families seeking information on proper educational placement of their most precious gifts, their children.

Leslie Haller has continuously been an insightful teacher and a caring person. Leslie has operated a self-contained classroom for her entire 20-year career at Glenholme and has formally mentored more new faculty then anyone in our history. Her low-key, unassuming nature allows her to help new individuals grow in their skill and confidence while feeling totally supported. Glenholme has benefited her strong support of Glenholme's efforts to put animals back into the program for our students.

Jane, Kathi, and Leslie are guiding lights who carry with them a wealth of Glenholme history. There have been countless milestones through the years and Glenholme is proud to celebrate the milestones of these three wonderful staff members.
