Celebrating Character: Act 1 |
Simply dazzling and delightful is the best way to describe the first Celebrating Character performance, “What Friends Are For,” by the young ladies of the Glenholme cottage. Bravely taking the stage as Act 1 of the character-oriented production series, these lovely young ladies faced an interesting challenge; learning a selection of songs that date back to the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s, many of which they never heard before. A WELCOMING CELEBRATION FOR NEW STUDENTS |
Being a leader is an important job for the members of the Student Leadership Conference, SLC, at The Glenholme School. Several key members of the SLC provided a welcoming celebration for nine of the newest members of the Glenholme community. The mid-week gathering was held in the science classroom on March 2, 2011 and included the viewing of an informative DVD created by Leadership II last summer. Full Story >> |
THE QUEST FOR THE EQUESTRIAN TROPHY |
In a Jeopardy-style team competition, two squads of students with strong command of their equestrian knowledge competed for the Equestrian Trophy in the first Equestrian Knowledge Bowl on February 24. The 40-minute fast-paced beat-the-buzzer competition, complete with audience support, challenged each teams’ horse-sense to correctly answer their question within a mere 20-second time frame. Center for the Arts Continues |
After seven years of unwavering fundraising efforts and a star-studded groundbreaking event in May 2009 with James Marsden and Jessica Biel, Glenholme commenced construction on the long-awaited Center for the Arts on November 17. Although the construction of the building has started and fundraising for phase I has concluded successfully, the campaign continues for phase II of the project. Read More >>
