GLEN RIDGE GOES LIVE
After months of dedicated development and design, the Glen Ridge College and Employment Coaching Program website goes live at theglenridgeschool.org. Glen Ridge is a college and post secondary program is directed towards young adults with learning disabilities and Asperger’s Disorder and focuses on developing the skills needed to succeed in college, work environments and social settings.Full Story >>
CELEBRATING BLACK HISTORY MONTH
Open Mic dedicated the last week of February to celebrating Black History Month. The daily lunchtime performances incorporated individual readings to musical ensembles with emphases that spanned the globe.Full Story >>
SPECIAL OLYMPICS INSPIRATION
Inspiration is evidenced everyday as thousands with intellectual disabilities strive to compete and succeed at their dreams through the Special Olympics Connecticut (SOCT). On Sunday, February 28, six Glenholme students spent their day in Simbury, CT assisting as athlete escorts at the 2010 Winter Games in Simsbury, CT. Full Story >>
WITH GREAT INSPIRATION
Cocoa Café continues to grow with great inspiration. On the evening of Wednesday, February 24, over 30 students filled the school’s theater with enthusiasm for the “Inspiration” themed evening. Performances included improv; readings of original writings including song lyrics, essays, and novel segments; skits, songs, and instrumental performances.

CANINE CARING
The Ambassadors for the Simon Foundation, Stephanie Ferguson and her adopted dog, Neville, made an impression on the caring students of Glenholme when they visited the school in November 2009 to deliver the message about animal rescue awareness. THE SPIRIT OF COMPETITION
The Glenholme robotics team, GHS 1337 Squad, made the trek to Kingswood Oxford High School in West Hartford on Saturday, March 6, for their initial FIRST robotics competition of 2010.

Center for the Arts Continues
Make a DifferenceAfter seven years of unwavering fundraising efforts and a star-studded groundbreaking event in May 2009 with James Marsden and Jessica Biel, Glenholme commenced construction on the long-awaited Center for the Arts on November 16. Although the construction of the building has started and fundraising for phase I has concluded successfully, the campaign continues for phase II of the project.
